Basically from my recent FES i took 15 litres@1015 third runnings, next day i knocked up the brew above.I did a full 60 minutes boil with the hop schedule and dememera above with the 15 litres third runnings and used the resulting post boil liquid to dilute the Munton's Old Ale kit then topped off to 23.0 litres and it came to OG 1055. :woohoo:

Tapped this today, still very young and not fully carbed, needs at least another week.It tastes very like a porter, low carb with that familiar bitter sharp porter taste from lots of black roasted barley.I would do it again but next time i would like to add some lactose to balance it out with a bit more body and some sweetness.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
