I'd just wait, How long has your beer been in the fermenter for?

Nothing to worry about at all, two weeks really should be minimum in the fermenter, we all get away with it sooner sometimes, but 14 days is good, if you were getting to 6 weeks or something then you would have to think about worrying, just to get the beer of the yeast cake (all the old yeast on the bottom).. I'm going to bed, so I'll just chuck in a general answer lol. If you didnt add a heap of extra hops then you could try one of the bottles friday night, thats pushing it though it will probably be flat, 2 weeks is the usual 'saying' but sometimes things happen faster and IPAs can be drunk as soon as they are carbonated, most of the time. Don't judge it harshly though if its flat and doesn't taste right, you'll just have to give it some more time.

If you did add a heap of extra hops then the beer may taste a little bitter and need some more time to settle down. All about personal tastes really, with both carbonation levels and flavour.

I still wanna see the recipe though!

some times I'll bottle a couple of stubbies too, just so you can test it without using a whole longneck

i only had 10 long necks so i had to use about 30 odd stubbies, was a pain in the ass, next time will do all long necks, think the bloke i bought my kit from keeps a batch of empty long necks, might go & see him cos i dont buy long necks usually buy stubbies ,

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
