I know piss all about ag but i have a question. Does the cara red and the cararoma malt mean it will have a heavy caramel toffee flavour?

I'm hoping so Greg, the last golden ale was very toffee like but the main reasons for specialty malt selections were for color, but I think they will be a good mix and it smelt absolutely awesome out of the mashtun.... It's kicking into fermentation now won't be long and will post tastings :)

I had a couple of ag brews at last local meet that had heavy toffee/caramel flavour and i bloody loved it. I am a huge lover of toffee, banoffi pie yummy. Never yet have i tasted that kind of notye in a commercial or craft brew though whichis very disappointing. That said i am only getting started so we will see.

Hey what is that karma button about? just noticed it lol

This beer was a little hollow in flavor, It was still very nice to drink but i felt it was missing somthing, I made it Again yesterday and went a differnt road with the hops and added some Crystal Malt as well....

Will give this a 6.8/10 Nice Dark color but a bit hollow...

When you say hollow flavour what do you mean? Not enough caramel/toffee ?

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
