I gave this batch to a m8 to ferment for himself he took an FG reading a couple of times and it still came out to 1000,unusually low for any beer yeast. This would give an abv of 5.1%abv,a good bit higher than would have been expected.Hopefully this is just a case of extremely good attenuation and nothing else, taste test in a few weeks will tell.

On another note i put on a second batch of this the following day using yeast i had cultivated from a single bottle of Whitewater Belfast Ale,pitched a 2.0lt starter of that on to the second batch and it went from OG 1038 to FG 1008 in a week.Kegged that one today so i hope to do a side by side comparison of both batches maybe start of November. :woohoo:

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
