G'day Gash, fellow members,

Just thought I'd share a pic from the construction of my cPVC manifold for my mash tun. I ended up getting a techni ice 40 litre esky from a mate and then made the manifold from cPVC and was happy with the results. Just need an immersion chiller and to buy beersmith and I should be right to start first brew of all grain.

Cheers
Dave

Hello Dave, I dont know whats wrong with the photos Ive had trouble , however i can emagine you pvc manafold sounds good and should work real well. Just make sure it doesnt come apart like mine did once. Had to make sure the joins were very secure after that terrible experience.
Wort chiller is ,money well spent I,would nt do without it now..
Let us know when your ready for your first all grain brew, interested to know how it goes.
Cheers.:)

G'day mate, sorry on holidays this weekend in the bush with very limited internet!. My cpvc manifold lasted over one hundred brews! I did end up having to use plumbers tape to keep it together after a while, just to make the joins tighter, besides that is was great and I'd use it again any time!

Photos need to upload before the final posting, so you click the add to post or whatever it is and the photo needs to upload totally before you hit the final post button! I cant test it here while on holidays but thats the usual go, Cheers!

Hello again, just a thought .I use the free program called Brewmate. Its not perfect but it will get you up and running. Runs fine on my Windows 10. Cheers.

G'day Finroo. Yeah I'm nearly ready for my first batch of AG so I'm excited. I'm going on holidays shortly, so when I get back I will probably get the immersion chiller and figure out where I can buy the grain and hops and get it sent to Warrnambool or I might have to drive to Melbourne and pick up the grain bill for my first batch. I will probably buy Beer Smith but will have a look at brewmate so thanks for that.

Cheers Dave

Grain and Grape can send you milled grain or I think Clever Brewing might do it too. Cheers Dave!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
