Wheat Malt Milling was created by Walruss
Hi guys, I'm having another shot at All Grain next week and need your advice on milling wheat.
I'm using 5kg of pale malt, 500g of wheat and 150g of crystal. Should I mill the wheat separately or just mill the lot together. I've set the mill to a gap of 0.040" for the Pale Malt, would that be tight enough, this is my first attempt at milling.
cheers

I'd run a little bit through and have a look, I don't need to change the setting on mine, I'm not exactly sure of the gap because I didn't measure it after adjustments were initially made, but I did a wheat beer a couple of weeks ago and had no issues with the crush, same setting as I use for my other malts. Cheers!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
