Do you wash the bottles with hot sodium percarbonate? If yes, do you also rinse them with hot water? If you wash with a hot solution you've got to rinse with hot water to remove the film coating the walls. This applies to your brew system as well.

If I were you I'd step right back and brew a simple bog standard recipe with normal hop levels using only filtered tap water to remove the chlorine (even if you do it on your old system to confirm your basics are okay). If it tastes okay at least you wont be pouring it down the drain. New systems can take a while to learn and adjust to, it's best building up to more challenging recipes a step at a time as its always quicker in the long run.

With so many of these systems being used these days maybe your local home brew store can hook you up with someone who can watch and help while you run through a brew.

Excellent question Fin!

I made 1 good batch once, pretty sure It was just extra though haha. Was a stone and wood but the flavour only stuck around about 1 week after bottle conditioning.

Yes just stick to your plan. The airlock is not always an indication of whats going on, cheers :)

Hi again, my NEIPA started fermenting sturday night, has been bubbling madly since. However I have just checked it (Monday night) and it has stopped bubbling. I was going to dry hop day 4/7 - should I still stick to plan?cheers, Rob

My experience is it produces a fuller bodied beer with a higher FG.Attenuation being 70 to 75% Cheers
