Personally I wouldnt waste my time and effort, saying that maybe if its a stout or dark beer its probably ok, but anything light or with hop character will be a very different extract from when it was canned.
Its possible it will turn out fine, but always a chance it wont.
A lot depends on how it was stored during that time too and also how far out of date!
Up to you, its gunna hurt you!
