Johnson i have a 50 litre keg HLT with two of these elements exactly like Gash has it setup. 45 litres of stone cold tap water takes about 60 minutes to reach a rolling boil. I would definitely suggest using two elements to reach and maitain a boil, if you need to just plug one out if it starts to boil too much, but far better to have two than be looking for an extra one mid boil.

3 weeks into dry July and going strong, im on the homeward stretch.

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
