Hi Gash,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
What did you end up using for dry hopping?
Just putting this in the fermenter....
Cheers
Chris

I used Simcoe 20g/Citra 30g/Centennial 50g.. I was just using up hops I had left.. but Mosaic, Galaxy or Cascade would be great! or any citrusy style hop would work, use about 90-120g or more if you like.

Thanks so much for the great video and the ingredient list! I'm newer to brewing and just starting to really experiment. Huge NE IPA fan too!! Quick question, If I only have a 1.3kg can of pale ale extract, can I substitute something else in it's place or do I have to decrease the other ingredients and only brew 2 gallons? How would only using 1.3 kg can effect the outcome if I still made a full sized batch?
Thanks so much!!!

It's a Mr. Beer Northwest Pale Ale can. www.mrbeer.com/northwest-pale-ale-craft-refill

For my grain I was going to use Briess 2-Row and quick oats - no crystal grain however.

Thank so much!

Hello Anugget, Had a look at that kit youve got and a look through the recipe and i would probably be keen to up the pale dry malt extract to 1 kg. I wouldnt be worried about not having any crystal malt ( there will probably be some in the kit).
You should be good to go. Good luck and happy new year. Cheers

What Finroo said is about right I think, it will be a little bit less bitter but that probably suits the style of NEIPA more than my recipe does! An extra 500g of DME or LME will do it. Cheers!

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
