This brew turned out a lot better then expected. It was a bit of a throw together , but its bloody great!

1.7kg Cascade Chocolate Mahogany Porter
1.7kg Coopers Stout
200g Dextrose
100g Pure Cocoa (el cheapo Black and Gold but is 100% cocoa)
3 Chipotle Chillis (Smoked dried chilli, weighed about 13g)

2 litres of water in a large saucepan boiled the Dextrose, Cocoa and chopped up Chillis for 10 minutes.
Turned off the heat and added the Cascade and Coopers cans, gave it a good mix and poured into the fermenter.
Topped up with cold water to 23L and added both packs of yeast.
Bottled after 10 days.
Simple, Easy , Tasty :)

yes turned out surprisingly good! I'm not sure about using cocoa and will be trying replicate it without the cascade can at least. To make it easier for others to try. :cheer:

I almost forgot I was talking to some brewers at the wedding and the consensus for the best chocolate to use in Australia is Hershey's powder apparently - pure cocoa and nothing else.. thanks for reminding me to tell you :silly:

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
