Hey All

Wish i never got back into home brewing its costing more then i am paying for the good times

shhh i hope the good lady wasnt around when i said that

however been a thinking with my small peanut becuase i think i have decided on get a kegerator which i hope tp purchase this week anyway moving right along

i am wanting a fermenter that compliments the kegerator.

i have to normal fermenters which is fine but i also want to ferment under pressure..

so what would you guys recogmend

a fermentasuarus snub nose or a fermzilla all rounder?

i am asking here becuase if i asked else where it will turn in to a bum fight between the kk and kl lovers and haters

and i feel i get better answers here anyway that are honest and wont make me cry like a real sooky..

..

i like snub nose for its stand where as the AR stand looks like if ya knock fermementer it will easily be knocked of its perch

thoughts please and thankyou

It’s a hard choice, they both work well. The only reason I like the AR is it’s easier to clean, but you’re right about it looking wobbly, though once it has beer in it it isn’t wobbly. I assume the snub nose fits?? I think it fits, I don’t have a snub nose but it’s just a fermentasaurus without the bottom cut off. I have a fermentasaurus but doesn’t fit. Snubnose is probably less fiddly due to fixed quick disconnect fittings but then has a more fiddly seal on the lid, but an easier lid to get off... I guess the conical bottom is a benefit, possibly waste less beer???
Hmmm that probably doesn’t help..

I’m testing a kegmenter this week, another option, more money and can’t see what’s going on but it is another option.

Was meant to video it today, my guts are playing up so will do tomorrow. I like that they are stackable when not in use, I guess could maybe stack while in use? Will test that out today or tomorrow. They have a bigger size too. Cheers mate

stacking is good selling point i think.

stacking 2 should be ok as longas the gas and tap disconnects are below the top ring and ya can feed them through the handle

would be good that way hook 2 up in series

but the only hassle with this you may not get 4 kegs in a series x

No way you’d fit four in a kegerator, not sure you’d fit two stacked even.. hmm another thing to test.

if the 30litres kegmenter is only small you probably could

if they are like the 30l kegstar kegs below they would roughly be the size of a 50l cub barrel or a lion nathan barrel

cheers

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
