There is some benefit to a 3 roller, what the 3 roller does, well the third roller, is it just feeds the grain more evenly into the 2 rollers that do the crushing, it doesnt do more crushing than a 2 roller. You can totally without issues get away with a 2 roller, the 2 roller is easier to set if you're into using feelers to measure gaps. I suggest only using grain, because thats what you're crushing, not feelers or credit cards, but people do like to use them.
Millmasters are extremely expensive yes, I can say I've not none anyone to were out a normal mill, you got to think they don't used much 5mins each batch you do. Maybe 10mins a month, its not much. Mine is still running solid, I cant remember how many batches and years I had it, but its been many.. If money is no object go for it! Cheers

I wouldnt get a maltzilla for another month or so, think they are doing an upgrade. I prefer my normal mill at this point in time, but that could change with the new maltzilla. One thing you know is a normal mill is a very simple device, couple of rollers and a crank..

These are really cheap even if you just need something until you decide you want something else, think the base boards are cheap too. bit.ly/2RollerMillKL

Well i am now a proud owner of a grain mill decided to go a 3 roller in the end

I tell ya though i did some swearing cursing when i got home though

Watched your video Gash and i tell you , your a calm man

those fiddly little screw and nuts putting the hopper together wasnt they fun with fat frickon fingers
and that blue protective coating to peel off , i have no nails to peel it off so i said stuff it the blue protective cover can stay on it until i can be bothered to pull it a part again.

but thinking about it i may have put it together the hard way but got the desired result..

now that i have this i assume the bottom and the other roller that isnt driven are just free wheeling and will roll once in grain.

also can i use an electric drill with grain mill?

Sorry mate didnt see this reply.
yep free rolling and yes you can use a drill, but slow is the key, some "normal" drills dont like going slow, not enough torque.

You can use whatever you have there, just examine your grain of course. Cheers!

hey Gash ,

just purchased that spade drill you used in your utube video, how are you still finding it if you are still using it?

did you have it on the slowest settings?

cheers and beers

Brewing a familiar Dark Mild later today. (hint: Was the bastard tired? Or was he run over by a tire (tyre). No one really knows). One thing for sure. It will be a treat when done. Cheers!
